Individual Therapy
What is Individual Therapy?
I believe that individual psychotherapy is a collaborative process between therapist and client that aims to facilitate change and improve the quality of life. Therapy can help people confront barriers that interfere with emotional and mental well-being, and it can also increase positive feelings such as compassion, self-esteem, love, courage, and peace.
I utilize a combination of psychotherapeutic techniques that I have collected over the years through professional studies and most importantly, through working on my own trials and tribulations in life. I believe that treatment needs to be individualized to fit the situation, the client’s personality, what has helped in the past and information collected by a thorough initial assessment and exploration of the problems origin. I aim to facilitate lifestyle changes, serve as a listening ear, help identify underlying causes of symptoms, and provide specific strategies or techniques for changing unwanted thoughts, behaviors, or emotions.
